Because We're Poor

Last Saturday afternoon, we witnessed another tragedy. It was the first year anniversary of a popular local noon-time show, Wowowee. 71 people died at ULTRA that afternoon, who are we to blame? The show promised to give lots of cash that day, who would say no to that? Lots of people went in hopes of winning a couple of hundreds even thousands if they're lucky.

While waiting outside ULTRA, people started pushing and shoving, I saw in paper that the gate collapsed, and the crowd fell like dominoes. Then people started rushing into the gates, it was the elderly who suffered badly. It was a STAMPEDE, seen all over the world that Filipinos cannot line up properly.

Many said it was because we're poor. I say, we poor because we are like this. When will we learn? Fact is I had some experiences were our unfortunate brothers, act in disrespect and blame the fortunate ones for being like that. Oh, I wish we all learn from this.
